Law school teaches you a lot…
BUT IT DOESN’T OFFER CLASSES ON BURNOUT, PURSUING CLIENTS, RUNNING AN OFFICE AND ALL OF THE REAL-LIFE THINGS THAT LAWYERS LIKE YOU DEAL WITH DAY-IN AND DAY-OUT.
The stakes are high and a lot is riding on your ability to perform.
can really do a number on that ever-elusive “work/life balance.”
IT DOESN’T TAKE TOO LONG BEFORE YOU REALIZE THAT YOU’RE GOING TO HAVE TO “UP YOUR INNER GAME” OR YOU’RE NOT GOING TO MAKE IT VERY FAR.
Or… you’ll just be coping the best you can and doing an “okay” job.
You’ll read some self-help books and they might get you somewhere.
But having an outsider’s perspective can make ALL the difference - someone who can help you get there faster.
Of course, it takes work - it’s not a magic pill - but, in my experience with clients, I’ve found that things start to improve surprisingly quickly once we start digging in together.
We’ll focus on how to…
ADDRESSING THE “INNER GAME” IS AS IMPORTANT AS CLE AND OTHER ENDEAVORS THAT BROADEN AND DEEPEN YOUR LEGAL ACUMEN.
Yet too many don’t invest their time into this part of their education.
YOU have the choice to focus on this critical area of your life and career.
And it will give you that edge over the competition.
If you’re ready to break through your barriers, schedule your free coaching session today:
*THIS SESSION IS NORMALLY $197, BUT I'M MAKING IT AVAILABLE FOR FREE TO THE NEXT 10 PEOPLE ONLY! I ONLY HAVE 10 SPACES OPEN FOR THESE SESSIONS ALL MONTH, AND ONCE THEY ARE GONE, THEY'RE GONE
WHY IS THIS FREE?
Why is this free? I know… there’s got to be a catch, right? These free sessions are something I’m experimenting with and I might not do them for long. Of course, I’d love to be your long-term coach and this session will help us see if that’s something we should pursue together. BUT… this is a 100% REAL coaching session. My goal is to give you as much value as I can with the time we have.
WHO iS CHRIS CLEARFIELD?
Back in 2008, as a young derivatives trader, I had a front-row seat to the Global financial crisis.
The small, nimble trading firm I worked at did quite well, but the amount of damage that big, prestigious banks did to the economy shocked me.
In 2010, when Deepwater Horizon exploded and gushed oil into the Gulf, I realized that how and why complex systems fail was one of the central questions of the modern world.
Why do some organizations build teams that thrive in complex and uncertain environments—while others struggle, grind to a halt, or even fail catastrophically?
I dug into this research with my friend, Andras Tilcsik, and we co-wrote the book Meltdown in 2018.
The success of that book has led to a whole new field of work: helping business leaders and teams navigate this complex and uncertain world we live in.
I use my analytical skills and systems thinking to understand the “rules of the game” — how people and teams change and adapt to make huge leaps in their productivity, happiness, and impact.
I love the complexity and messiness of people and organizations — and like a LEGO master builder, I’ve got a sense of the pieces that need to come together to make transformative change.
I’ve worked with firms of all sizes, from small startups to the biggest companies in the Fortune 500.
I’m also a flight instructor — I teach people how to fly small airplanes.
WHO I WORK WITH
I work with owners and professionals who are ready to undertake radical change — for themselves or their teams. They have an open mind and they’re willing to experiment and question the conventional wisdom. They’re committed to embracing curiosity and recognizing that problems worth solving don’t have an easy answer.
They’re willing to take risks—because they know that if the path were easy, they’d already be where they wanted to.
• CEO’s, Company Presidents, and Executives
• Independent Business Owners
• Practice owners—legal, medical, professional—and managers
Whether you run a ten person business or are responsible for a company with 80,000 people, the path to excellence is remarkably similar: creating teams that learn.
WHAT ARE OTHERS SAYING?
Chris is a masterful listener and coach. He gets straight to the heart of what I'm trying to say and helps me sort through my thoughts. I come away from our conversations about my small business feeling confident and clear. He's supported me in raising my rates and shifting my entire business model to something that feels deeply my own. I feel like I finally understand how to work efficiently doing the work that I'm excited to do, and getting better results.
